This edition was really regional. We organized an online course of formation, a small conference for peripheric artists of Curitiba besides preparation events in other cities of southern Brazil: Porto Alegre, Londrina and Itajaí. Everything before the main event in Curitiba. This edition received the festival prize by Funarte and would receive the Music Professional Awards the following year.
FIMS, the Portuguese abbreviation for the event, comes in 2022 for its sixth edition looking to break more barriers, more paradigms and assume the role as a regional aggregator in favor of the development and professionalization of the music market. Finalist of the Music Professional Award two years in a row and contemplated in the 2021 FUNARTE Music Festival Award, FIMS is much more than a business music market that aims to stimulate business, employment and income in the music market, especially in southern Brazil, but also keeps looking for trends and, why not, styles, combining business and entertainment. A complete event, with several facets, which doesn't just happen in one or two days, but unfolds throughout the year in numerous training, professionalization, dissemination, career acceleration, market research, data collection, without forgetting networking, which is essential for the professional development of artists and bands, in addition to concerts, parties and presentations. And part of these meetings will take place in a hybrid way, both online and in person.
