The FIMU (June 5 > 8th) is promoting artistic emergence by annually hosts approximately 120 bands from 30 to 35 countries, encompassing all musical genres such as Jazz, Classical Music, Rap, Electro, Reggae, Rock, and more, in the city of Belfort, France.
In total, nearly 200 concerts are offered for free to 110,000 festival-goers of three evenings.
The programme is carried out through a call for applications from amateur or pre-professional artists who aspire to perform in professional conditions in front of a large audience as well as in front of many programmers present at the festival. In 2024, there were 1,357 applicants from 81 countries.
Following these applications, several juries composed of industry professionals (directors and programmers of concert halls and festivals, labels, producers, media, etc.) have mission to select 120 bands while guaranteeing eclecticism and artistic quality.
