FMQ

FMQ began life as a printed magazine (the Finnish Music Quarterly) in 1985, addressing all aspects of the Finnish music scene.

Today, FMQ publishes new items – articles, columns and reviews – on its website every week,,available at no charge. Also, a Special Feature is published online four times a year. The printed edition, published once a year in December, contains a compendium of items published online during the year.

FMQ is published by Music Finland. Its partners are the Sibelius Academy, the Society of Finnish Composers and the Finnish Musicians’ Union. The magazine is also supported by a grant from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.
