At Womex '22, we promote two specially selected Finnish artists Dashing Waves and Mama Longhorn to find them new opportunities in the international scene. We also promote the new Funky Finland information channel, launched earlier this year, where both bands are introduced along with dozens of other Finnish acts. Funky Finland is your constantly developing new online guide to top-notch rhythm music artists in the land of the thousand lakes... and rhythms!

Funky Amigos non-profit association promotes black rhythm music and its artists as well as cultural diversity and tolerance in Finland. We create opportunities for local acts to perform as well as introduce internationally acknowledged artists to the Finnish audience. Our activities are not only limited to our own event and festival production, but we also produce informational content on different media channels covering both the local and the international scene as well as topical phenomenon of black rhythm music and its subcultures.
