Antonio Chainho is a remarkable Portuguese musician who has been promoting and developing projects around the unique twelve string guitar (also known as the Portuguese Guitar) for more than 40 years.
Chainho's Portuguese Guitar performances wins audiences over throughout the world, especially in countries like the US, Brazil, Serbia, Croatia, Spain, Korea or India, where he also teaches master students of music and carries out presentations for the general public (including children).
He believes that more emphasis must be given to this instrument, which is associated with FADO music and is still handmade by craftsmen in Portugal. Therefore, he continues to work with different artists from many countries and with distinct styles. Such as Maria Bethania, Jose Carreras, KD Lang or Paco de Lucia, all in an effort to continuously surprise his public.
