Since they started out, eight years ago, the Kora Jazz Trio have toured all over the world and released three remarkable recordings. Today, the pianist Abdoulaye Diabaté continues to pioneer the astonishing dialogue he initiated involving two solo instruments emblematic of radically different musical cultures - the Western piano and the African kora.
He has brought new band members to the fore, all the better to develop and explore new musical pastures - a formation that brings us new sonic textures, new breathing space and greater scope.
