Established in 1995, Golden Horn Productions and its label division Golden Horn Records originally released several jazz albums before also becoming involved in the production of traditional and contemporary world music recordings in 1997. The aim of Golden Horn is to create a cultural touchstone in North America capable of representing and supporting some of the many traditional and evolving genres of World Music through the release of recordings, concerts and tours.
Our publishing arm is Seher Music Publishing, a member of ASCAP in the United States. We license our material for usage in new recordings and audio-visual productions. Many of our musicians also compose new works for films and documentaries.
Our goal from the beginning has been to produce traditional and contemporary recordings of local and global significance. We encourage dialog and interaction between listening audience, artists and producers in order to build a global community.
