Is a singer, guitarist and composer of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB). Born in Blumenau (SC).
He is the winner of the 2023 Music Pro Award for best singer and the 2019 Grão de Música Award, being the only one from Santa Catarina among the 15 Brazilian artists selected.
He has three albums: “Por Um Fio, with production by Jorge Helder (bassist for Chico Buarque and Maria Bethânia). The second, “Na Linha Torta” (2018), was recorded at Estúdio The Magic Place in Florianópolis, and had special appearances by Guinga Cristóvão Bastos and Ana Paula da Silva. In 2024, John released the single “Alvoroço” with the special participation of Armandinho Macêdo one of the biggest names in Brazilian instrumental music.
