"Singer Eden Holan does not lack of originality: jazz, oriental music, Creole music combined with her own autobiographical lyrics and compositions. It is tough to imagine a more unique mixture..."
Jazz Magazine, October 2012, Daniel Chauvet, Nouvelle Vague
Eden's music is a mirror to her life: Born in Paris, grown up in Tel-Aviv, travelling all over the world and cooperating with well known musicians.
Her eclectic repertoire includes songs in English, French, Creole, and Hebrew.
Eden Holan has distinguished herself on the global music scene with a unique style that combines jazz roots and harmonies with Brazilian influences and traditional African rhythms from the Reunion Island.
Her music is melodic and rhythmic, sweeping and very soulful.
Eden has headlined shows and Festivals in: Israel, China, France, Switzerland, Germany, Corsica, Madagascar (Africa), United States and the Reunion Island.
In November 2013 Eden was invited by Ted France, whose conferences bring together the world’s fascinating thinkers and doers, to sing and lecture in the Reunion Island about her music and international unique collaborations.
“As a singer I naturally studied rhythm and have often played percussion when I sing,” says Eden, “I believe that everything I do will be a combination of different cultures, languages, rhythms and styles, but all of that falls beautifully into the music we call jazz. To me, jazz means freedom – the chance to draw from all of the wonderful sounds I love to create a mixture that is the equivalent of a big basket of flowers of many colors from many different and amazing places.”
