Mamaliga (polenta in Romani) is an international orchestra (Belgium, France, Italy, Romania) of 5 volcanic girls who revisit
the Rom tradition in a lively and festive way with accents of magnetic pop funk of the most nice effect. When they run
at full speed, we find the punk energy of the Rita Mitsouko in their great era, with electro forays and a slight diversion
of traditional instruments which establishes a powerful and singular style recognizable among a thousand (the inimitable
voice of Lise Oustric, the clarinet of Aurélie Charneux which puts everyone in agreement). Their immersion in the gypsy
repertoire is dizzying, with some discoveries here and there (notably a mise en abyme of a text by Guillaume Apollinaire).
The party, the dance, the rebellion, the fantasy. An hymn to love needed by our world.
