Samson Schmitt was born on the 20th of September 1979 in Creutzwald, Lorraine (France). He learned to play the guitar with his father Dorado. When he was only twelve years old, he performed for the first time on stage during the international jazz festival of Munich, Germany. From 1990 to 1999, he played with the Dorado SCHMITT Quintet, the group Kakiweiss (rhythmic guitars) and with Hono and Gino Reinhardt. In 2000 and 2001 he performed with the groups of Alexander Cavalière, Tchavolo Schmitt, Pouro Sinto, Angelo Debarre, Jimmy Rosenberg, and finally founded his own group Samson Schmitt Quartet. He then had the opportunity to perform at several European festivals.
