GERMAN MUSIC EXPORT

German Music Export by Initiative Musik supports musicians, music professionals and companies based in Germany to enhance their visibility abroad and expand their network on an international level.
Our export activities include cooperations with relevant music showcase events, supporting the presence of German-based acts, fostering sustainable international contacts through networking events and providing practical know how on export topics. Furthermore Initiative Musik represents Germany in international networks like the European Music Exporters Exchange (EMEE) and participates in European projects like ESNS Exchange to support the circulation of European musical talent abroad.
Through GERMAN MUSIC EXPORT Initiative Musik provides support for international tours and projects through three export funding programmes aimed at musicians, music professionals and music companies based in Germany.

ABOUT INITIATIVE MUSIK

Initiative Musik is the central funding body for popular music and jazz. Artists and their music are at the core of our work. Through targeted funding programmes and activities we support artists, the live music scene and music businesses throughout Germany and abroad in realising their projects and foster networks and infrastructures.
With three music awards – POLYTON, the German Jazz Prize and the APPLAUS Award – we promote outstanding talents and venues and increase their visibility.
