Ruido Selecto was born in 2013 as the individual project of Juan Esteban Herrera, parallel to his activity as a musician and producer of several groups in the city of Medellin such as Panela Sound and Niquitown.
In his home studio, he began a process of gathering and exploring sounds with synthesizers and electronic elements. His love and work with Jamaican music led him to the Dub genre which is a key resource in his sound and a way to process audio signals that have served him as a bridge to approach genres like IDM, electro, abstract hip hop and break.
After conducting several concerts in venues throughout the city of Medellin, the project focused on a process of musical creation. He has been invited by the Social Bellavista Club to produce a repertoire of songs that link electronic music with hip hop.
