They met for the first time between the spider bites at the Notte della Taranta Festival in 2011. On the one hand Justin Adams, legendary British guitarist and producer, right-hand man of Robert Plant, a predilection for African grooves, an interest in trance and inhabited permanently by the spirit of the blues, on the other Mauro Durante, violinist and brilliant composer, protagonist with the award-winning Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino of the pizzica renaissance, collaborator of Ludovico Einaudi, heir to a thousand-year-old tradition and globetrotter by vocation.
In 2021they translated their elective affinities into “Still Moving”, an album that immediately won the prestigious Songlines Music Award and an ecstatic journey between blues, pizzica, punk, taranta, songwriting, North African rhythms, guitar, violin and drums that has taken them to festivals around the world, from globalFEST in New York to Womad Adelaide and New Zealand to Big Ears in Tennessee to Tiny Desk Concerts.
