Jake and Rambling Blade

Jakob Frankenhaeuser is an independent songwriter/composer and artist from Finland. His trio, Jake and Rambling Blade, is an acoustic Americana group performing his music and favorite covers, and its members are united by a love of bluegrass and roots music.

Recently Jake has teamed up with Finnish singer and flutist Minna Kare and they are currently working on duo arrangements of Jakob´s music as well as new original material and creating their own versions of songs by Gillian Welch and The Milk Carton Kids among others. Jake and Minna are available for bookings as a duo as of October 2025.

The full length Jake and Rambling Blade debut album showcasing Jake´s originals, "True Love", produced by Jussi Jaakonaho and featuring Michael Daves (USA) and Nicky Mehta (CAN) of the Wailin´Jenny´s, was released on October the 25th 2024 and is available on vinyl and cd at store.jakeandramblingblade.com and on all streaming services.

Alongside Jake, the group consists of Anders Nyman (acoustic guitar, lap steel) – formerly active in the Finnish trash metal band Final Assault and Jukka Puurula (double bass) known from the popular Finnish rock band Don Huonot.

The band enjoyed their first gig summer together in 2022 and have quickly become known for their lively and energetic live appearance on stage, they have found new momentum and this can be felt and seen especially when they perform live. Their gigs offer a fast and energetic drive, vulnerability and a sensitivity that is sure to affect anyone attending one of their gigs.
