Jaliya Connection

Jaliya Connection is an independent music and production company based in Lund, Sweden, founded by artists Sousou & Maher Cissoko in 2006.

Over the past two decades, Jaliya Connection has developed and produced international tours, concerts, recordings and cultural projects across around 40 countries.

Our work spans artistic production, project development and financing, international touring and creative collaborations. We also create and record music from our own studio space in Lund.

Current projects include award-winning duo Sousou & Maher Cissoko, Senegalese kora virtuoso Maher Cissoko and Nordic Griots. Sousou & Maher are currently completing their new album "Bimoya", planned for release in 2027 as part of a new phase of international touring.

Jaliya Connection is also behind Jaliya Camp, our creative space in Abéné, southern Senegal, where music, dance, yoga, creativity and cultural exchange meet in a setting rooted in the living griot traditions of the region.

Alongside our own productions, we work with booking and international project development, and are interested in connecting with booking agencies, festivals, presenters and creative partners worldwide.
