Karantaba is a recording studio and music label based in Dakar.
Specializing in Afro-urban music, Karantaba strives to offer a new and authentic sound by integrating traditional instruments such as kora or balafon into its productions.
His artists include singer and kora player Noumoucounda (Awadi, Stromae, Alpha Blondy), singer Thaïs Diarra and arranger / producer Fred Hirschy (Tumi, Fredy Massamba, Awadi).
The goal of this label is to gradually be able to produce new African artists, innovative and conscious.
