Popular and original folk music from central and southern Italy, between tradition and innovation.
The name “Italia Migrante” highlights the exchange and contamination between different cultures, due to the migration of peoples. The group's intent is to create a modern and multi-ethnic sound to ideally unite different peoples and traditions of the Mediterranean through music.
The lyrics highlight the universal theme of love, struggle, work, travel in search of a better future… all this connected to the energy of rhythm and traditional dance.

MISSION: to enhance and disseminate Italian popular music abroad
The group's objectives include the promotion and dissemination of popular music abroad.
In 2017 the band performed at the VISA FOR MUSIC International Festival in Rabat, Morocco, as the only representatives of Italian culture and tradition. It was the first Italian musical group to participate in it.
In 2013 at the Cruzando Fronteras Festival, world art festival in Mexico, Italy Migrante was the only Italian music group to bring Italian popular music to Quintana Roo.
The band has performed in various Italian contexts: large and important arts festivals with thousands of spectators such as "La Notte delle Candele" (Vallerano - VT) or "Folk in Progress" (Toffi - RI), important world music events such as the "Tout le Monde World Art Festival" (Larciano - PT), famous jazz and ethno festivals such as the "Borgiana Season" (Nepi - VT) or the "Musical salons" (Latina and Sperlonga) and other local events around the Italy.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE
The repertoire of Italia Migrante is composed of original and traditional songs from Southern and Central Italy, rearranged in a modern key accompanied by traditional dance.
