Argentique explores the friction zones between jazz, rock and experimental music.
The band invents a language for today: free, intense, luminous music that sets improvisation and composition in dialogue with the same level of rigor.
Formed in 2025, this unclassifiable quartet brings together Léa Ciechelski (alto saxophone, flute), Rose Dehors (trombone), Théo Moutou (drums, vocals) and Étienne Manchon (keyboards). Together, they shape a dense, shifting sonic material at the crossroads of the worlds of Carla Bley, Radiohead and Bon Iver. Their music is resolutely contemporary, where the energy of rock meets the inventiveness of jazz.
On stage, Argentique unleashes a radical energy, at once physical and poetic.
The compositions evolve freely, reinventing themselves through collective play; the voice, used as an instrument, melts into an ensemble where every sound becomes texture.
This open approach, nourished by improvisation and sound design, turns every concert into a new, immersive sonic journey: a territory where the tension of rock meets the freedom of jazz.
