VÍÍK is a new Nordic folk orchestra who combine the wry aesthetic of jazz and the in your face energy of rock with the elegant melodies of Nordic folk song traditions. The six piece band is spear headed by larger than life vocalist Elisabeth Vik, who seamlessly combines vocal textures from throat singing to cow herding calls, and everything in between. The group have made their live debut earlier this year to rave reviews and have taken their homeland Denmark by storm.

As well as being bass player and manager in VÍÍK, Jakob Kragesand is an active asset on the Danish folk music scene, as a booker and producer for a popular student venue, several festivals and larger music events.
