“...a rising artist we are listening to and should be on your radar”
Billboard Latin

23 of September of 2022 (New York, NY) - The Dominican-American artist La Cassandra continues her sequence of musical releases with her new single and video, “La Respuesta”. She achieves a mixture of rhythms between Latin World music and Chachachá with a cheerful, humorous approach, while focusing on feminine strength. The song follows her recent releases within the last year consisting of “Merengón” (a nostalgic Merengue), “Bailando” (a Tropical Latin World song with Afro-Latin influences), “Aunque No Estás” (a Bolero-Bachata), and “Ayer Llore Por Ti” (a Rumba-Flamenca) which forms part of her upcoming debut album and affirms her refreshing new take as a singer-songwriter in the current Latin market.

"La Respuesta" is a story of a remorseful ex who tries to return to the life of the artist. Focusing on the female perspective, La Respuesta emphasizes on the empowerment of women through its lyricism and by utilizing an all-female choir within the chorus. “We were deeply inspired by the Cuban culture and music at that time and decided to make this song a chachachá centered on sultry and sassy vocal notes and supported by a rhythmic guitar riff.” La Cassandra clarified.

The song was written during an impromptu studio session in Havana, Cuba and is supported by a humorous yet sensual music video, visually bringing the attitude of the song to life. The video was filmed and directed by Joseph Ros and shot in the streets of Havana.

After her initial debut late last year, La Cassandra, has seen a momentous traction in her career and recently received praise from Billboard Latin as an artist to watch. She continues to take a vow to womanhood and the celebration of life, paying great respect and tribute to her native roots, Dominican Republic.
