La Siren La Ziren

La Siren La Ziren (Caracas, 2019) is a musical group founded by the producer and electronic musician Andrea Ludovic and the opera singer Janis Denis. Both artists started from an overflowing and joyful relationship between noise, beatbeast and expanded lyrical voice, setting up the foundations of the sound that characterizes them. Their early performances contemplate improvisation as an expressive tool in the field of experimental music, mixing a diverse range of vocal effects, polyrhythmic structures, enveloping melodies and distortions.

The duo's first works gave rise to the group La Siren La Ziren (2021), whose forceful and unique sound calls the listener to experience sound ecstasy, where the profanation of bel canto and innovative elements in the production of electronic music are evident. Although the performance began to become a sound journey, La Siren La Ziren also proposed to be a philosophical exploration around some signifiers that border the field of contemporary art: latency, ecology, femininity, transhumanism, immanence, multiplicity, manifest in its staging and its poetry.

DISCOGRAPHY

In 2023 they released their first self-titled album La Siren La Ziren, which has been reviewed as one of the best Venezuelan productions of the same year (La Dosis Magazine, Cusica). Guitarist Raquel García would join this project, who with her inexorable atmospheric expressiveness, gives the band thickness and shine.

On the album the public will be able to appreciate 7 original songs and a cover, with the public's favorite being the single “Aphrodite”; In general words, the musical intensities that range from opera aria to experimental electronics, passing through noise, ancestral rhythms, atmospheric guitar, traces of pop, rock and folklore quotes, constitute the success of it.

Finally, three musicians go beyond the limits of the song and create a scenario that challenges the audience, but the audience has shown that they are not gullible and recognize in them a creativity that moves them. On the other hand, LaSirenLaZiren is open to collaborations with other artists; some of venezuelans artists have joined the project to specific productions, and thanks to them, it can be said that the group has reached a transdisciplinary level.
