Karen Parreira is a Brazilian 10-string guitar player, composer, singer and producer, with 13 years of artistic career. With 3 released albums, she's now finishing her first solo DVD production. Through this time, she achieved many awards in music festivals, with 2 Brazilian Music Prizes, 2 Rozini Excellence Prizes, amongst others.
Karen Parreira founded the company "Violeta Produções" in 2011 and since then she acts not only as a female representative inside the viola caipira's universe, but also as a producer and promoter, acting as project manager in CDs and DVDs initiatives and promoting events and festivals dedicated to the "viola caipira", the Brazilian 10-string guitar which is also one of the cultural symbols of the country.
