Original, chromatic mixture of jazz, world and rock. With his 7 piece band, known as the Three Continents Sextet, he has an emphasis on the brass section. Influences from Western Europe and Africa. Careful musical arrangements and free improvisation all directed by the bassman, Schalk Joubert. His debut album was a nominee for the SAMA Awards in the Best Jazz Album and Best Engineer catagories in 2008.
