- Tony Cox (Steel String Guitar)
Tony Cox is an Entertainer and Steel String acoustic guitar virtuoso who presents songs, both with and without vocals. He is a prolific composer, storyteller and multi-genre musician.
Tony has over a dozen albums to his name some of which have been awarded the coveted SAMA Award in southern Africa.
His stage career started out with fellow acoustic guitarist, Steve Newman. Though now mostly a solo artist, the duo still performs from time to time showing off their dazzling technique against often humorous and entertaining interludes.
Born in Zimbabwe, Southern African music left its influence on Cox's composing and ultimately, his recordings. His choice of program for his live performances reflected this deep musical connection to the continent he was born into.
As a young boy, Cox moved with his family to Cape Town, South Africa where his professional life began. He now resides in the UK.
