From Osaka, Japan, ro-ho uses a classical guitar connected to a bass amp. A single-person sound system, ro-ho doesn’t use any sort of loop machines, but instead creates music through a combination of striking the guitar, percussively using the strings, singing, and rapping.

Ro-ho performs in a wide variety of events, often supported by reggae and hip-hop artists, or even at large rock festivals. Ro-ho’s unique musical style attracts the attention of artists from many different genres.

As a testimony do his borderless style, ro-ho has performed in Taiwan (a punk event), Thailand (reggae), Singapore (blues), Cambodia (rock), and Hong Kong (techno).

He sings in Japanese, but his guitar playing and grooves, combined with his intense flow, attracts people from different backgrounds and brings them together.

His first album was independently produced, and quickly sold out of all 1,000 copies. A nationwide label is currently preparing to rerelease the album with an added bonus track.

For the past two years, ro-ho has been working on his second album. He’s working with mastering engineer Tim Young of Metropolis Studio, who has also worked with the likes of The Clash and The Sex Pistols.

With a single guitar and a powerful singing voice, ro-ho is ready to play anywhere.
