ESPAÑOL :
"Bonito tiempo pa' navegar" is the first recording of Beyanira Sánchez, Jesusita Caicedo, Orfa Mélides and their 'Tamborito Nuquí', one of the last bands in the northern region of Choco that keeps the Tamboríto tradition alive in the format adopted by the rhythm along the town of Nuquí, Bahía Solano and Jurado, extending to the Panamanian coasts. The men led by the brothers Máximo and Heriberto García lead the percussion: tambora, maracas, caja and timbo or cununo, to give the rhythm to the singers accompanying the lead voice of Beyanira and the choruses of Orfa and Jesusita. El hombre que no da se deja', 'Morenita Nuquiseña' and 'A mi no me quiere nadie' are some of the songs included in this work which brings us to Nuquí, an untouched place where the jungle spills into the sea.

The album was recorded by Llorona Records and La Metro with the support of the Ministry of Culture within the framework of Travesía 2012, an artistic residency where a group of young people from Nuquí reconnected with their roots learning how to produce an album to preserve the memory and traditional music of their territory. The process was recorded by the renowned photographer Federico Rios in a series of beautiful black and white photos and the album was finally delivered to Doña Beyanira and her group thanks to the support of 'Thursday People' in November 2015.
