Among his various facets, we can summarize some in which DJ Preto EL acts: besides being a DJ, he is a MC, music and cultural producer of the Hip Hop culture.
Coming from Great São Paulo - a region known as ABCD – in Sao Paulo State, he accumulates many works and achievements since the beginning of his career, which started in the beginning of the 90s.
One of these achievements was the idealization of the FESTIVAL SINGELA HOMAGEM HIP HOP. This festival happens since 2009 in Sao Paulo, as well as the DJs championship 4/4 BEATS AND SCRATCHES, which he also organizes.
The production of these events led him to an exchange experience in February 2012, on which occasion he visited the SCRATCH DJ ACADEMY in Miami, Florida, where he produced BACK TO THE ESSENCE in partnership with DJ Immortal, who adds his dope scratches.
This song underscores the importance of maintaining the original composition of Hip Hop to develop RAP music, which has DJ and MC elements, showing the culture commitment he has learned when listening to his masters.
As a member of ZULU NATION BRAZIL, he made the production of the compilation UMA SÓ VOZ-MANTENDO O HIP HOP VIVO.
In 2011, he was invited by Frédéric Pagès, a French musician, to work as an executive producer in the MANUAL DE LIETERATURA (EN) CANTADA project, which focused on the production of the Book CD of the same title. The proposal was to transform some poems and poetry in music from established and emerging authors of Brazilian literature. B.Boys, B.Girls, MCs, DJs and Graffiti Artists participated on this project.
In 2010, with his DJs Crew, Clã Sul, he produced and released a compilation called SINGELA HOMENAGEM. In 2011, he produced the vinyl RISCOS E BATIDAS, which is composed by RAPs and BATTLE BREAKS tracks and it was developed for DJ Battles.
He was a resident DJ at the legendary “Casa do Hip Hop” in Diadema, a cultural center that has been visited by national and international personalities.
In 2009 and 2010, DJ Preto EL organized the DJs Championship Hip Hop. This championship is a reference to many Brazilian DJs and served as a showcase for many that saw it.
DJ Preto EL has always been involved in social projects and he believes, like many others, that the future of a Brazil with less social inequality is the education of children and young people.
