GOG is one of the most important rappers in Brazil, also a cultural producer and an author. He has almost thirty years of a prolific artistic career that has made him one of the principal promoters of Independent Brazilian Hip Hop production. Born in Brasília is a fact that helped him to reinforce his political positioning relating his spiritual needs and Brazilian social movements.
GOG was the first Brazilian rapper to create his own music label, and it helped not only him to produce 9 records, but also to produce other rappers from Brasília. His 10th record is being produced right now!
Winner of many prizes, he has a huge experience and has partner great Popular Brazilian Music singers like Lenine, Maria Rita, and Fabiana Cozza. His DVD called Cartão Postal Bomba! (Bomb Postcard!) is the result of his maturity in Rhythm and Poetry.
In 2010, GOG released the book “A Rima Denuncia” (The rhyme denounces) where we can find, besides his history of an artist and political militant, major milestones of Brazilian Hip Hop Culture.
His brand new concert is called “ISO 9000 do Gueto” (Gueto ISO 9000), and it is a weapon with which Brazilian poor youth struggle to survive against the social inequality. The concert brings some poetries, visual effects and references to World Famous Black Griots.
