The French-American singer Marion Lenfant-Preus, the Polish guitarist Sobo and their quintet create their own modern style of vocal gypsy jazz with their fusion of music and languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Albaresh, Macedonian). Their brand new album "Esprit Manouche" came out in September 2018 on the german label Acoustic Music.
They are travelers, curious, inspired by the world, nature, people. They deliver an energetic and rhythmic sound with their percussive gypsy guitars, double bass and violin. They impress with the singer's scat improvisations and her authentic way of bringing foreign languages together all in one concert. They arrange their songs with precision, yet letting room for improvisation where the musicians develop their creativity, live. No concert is the same, the stage is their home and the Marion & Sobo Band captures a large audience of all ages with its charm, its enthusiasm, its passionate and skillful playing. Every audience is welcome and the quintet spreads good vibes for everyone to take home with them.
