Marcia Lisboa was born in Rio de Janeiro, her influences come from Samba, Jazz and Bossa Nova. She is a singer-songwriter and her work is a reflection of his research and also passion for brazilian music.

Her CD Marcia Lisboa – “Nós e o Rio” shows her own compositions such as "Corda Bamba", a song inspired by the bossa nova.It brings new and old composers from the 1930s and 40s, such as "Com que Roupa" (Noel Rosa) and "Acertei no Milhar" (Geraldo Pereira and Wilson Batista), important composers in the history of Brazilian music.

On her CD Marcia sings differents styles of samba. Samba de roda, Samba de breque, Samba canção, Samba-jazz, Samba-choro and Samba-bossa.

The music producer and arranger is the guitar player Marcelo Pfeil. A Musician with international experience, which carries a jazz influence to the tracks.

Marcia is charismatic and owns a unique voice and stage performance. In her concerts one can find, a lot of other rhythms and styles of brazilian music like, Maxixe, Ijexa, Afoxe , Frevo and Xote, rhythms with African and European influences beside samba
