As a cosmopolitan nation, Senegal is home to a diverse range of musicians of
different nationalities. And different nationalities also mean different musical
cultures. It was then that a brilliant idea crossed Maïna's mind:
create a music by fusing these different musical cultures. She called on
fellow musicians from Benin, Gabon, Congo and Senegal, hence the
name CONTINENTAL RYTHM CONNEXION. This project offers the public a
musical fusion of different sounds, such as folklore, jazz, soul, mbalax,
rumba and many others.
