Indiegogo’s Danae Ringelmann outlines creative funding opportunities to MIDEM 2015

Danae Ringelmann, co-founder and Chief Development Officer of crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, is announced as the first keynote speaker for Midem.

Founded by Ringelmann, Slava Rubin and Eric Schell in 2008, Indiegogo is the world's largest crowdfunding platform, empowering people around the planet to fund what matters to them. Indiegogo has hosted more than 200,000 campaigns and distributes millions of dollars every week. About 7,000 campaigns are active on Indiegogo at any given time. In the past two years, the platform has grown more than 1000%.

Talented speaker, Ringelmann was listed on Fast Company’s Top 50 Women Innovators in Technology in 2011, and was named one of Fortune’s 40 Under 40 in September 2013 and featured in Elle Magazine’s Top Women in Tech in 2014.

As part of the Midem Talks conference sessions, Ringelmann will outline how crowdfunding offers a viable way to fund fresh ideas and innovative technologies emerging from the creative industries, especially music.

Midem Talks are plenary conference sessions that unite the whole music ecosystem, featuring Visionary Talks from leaders who move music forward, and Industry Talks covering key topics for today’s music business. Further speakers are to be announced soon.
