Richard Bourreau (violinist Lo'Jo) and Vincent Erdeven (guitar and keyboards Zenzile) initiated Deltas as a trio with singer and ngoni player Andra Kouyaté who usually accompanies Tiken Jah Fakoly.
They do not really seek to offer their own version of Mandingo blues, or even the Mississippi blues, but want to invent a music for patient people, a Loire and Niger river blues, a blues that suites them and brings us together.
