The Grits released their long awaited debut full-length album 'It's Too Drunk To Be This Early' in May 2008. The first single from the album, The Ballad of Joe Stalin, achieved considerable airplay across the NZ student radio network, incuding several weeks at no. 1 on Auckland’s bFM and the second single ‘Headlights’ reached the top spot on the Kiwi FM charts with the accompanying video generating a lot of attention once it was banned by TVNZ. The album debuted at no.7 on the National Independent Chart and remained in the charts for over six months.
The Hot Grits are seeking licensing and distribution plus performance opportunities in Europe and the US in 2010.
