Moonaya is rap on the background of trap, nu-soul & African sounds.
The languages used in his songs are mainly French, and for the refrains, English, Yoruba, Lingala, Hausa, Fon and Wolof.
After her signing at Sony Music Africa in 2017, the release of the two singles "Qui" and "Il est temps" in 2018, rapper Moonaya returns last year, with a 3rd single "Tu t'en guèlèches" and an EP of six ( 6) songs entitled "Petit Oiseau", available since September 13, 2019 on streaming and download platforms : AppleMusic, Boomplay, Deezer, Spotify, Google Play & YouTube.
Winner with a silver medal for Senegal in the “Song” discipline during the 8th Francophonie Games which took place in Abidjan in July 2017, Moonaya was also decorated in March 2018 by the Gender Unit of the Ministry of Culture for services rendered to Culture as a woman leader in her field.
In addition, Moonaya has been evolving with a band of musicians for the past ten years and gratifying the public with a powerful 100% LIVE hiphop show at each of her stage performances.
The "Petit Oiseau" EP is easy to listen to. With a tone that is sometimes harsh, as in the song "Qui", "Tu t’en guèlèches" or "Il est temps", "Pesa Bolingo" responds gently to soul music chords. "Toutes les femmes" in a more funky atmosphere gives the answer to the eponymous track "Petit Oiseau".
