Working with the Lyon based baroque ensemble Le Concer Hostel Dieu, we had a successful R&D workshop in Lyon 9th- 11th October 2019.

The narrative of the project is inspired by the novel "Tendres plaintes/yasashii uttae" by a Japanese Akutagawa Prize winning novelist Yoko Ogawa’ who is shortlisted for the prestigious International Booker Prize(UK) in 2020. The novel unwraps a subtle and complicated love story of a harpsichord maker, his assistant and a newcomer. The story is accompanied by pieces by Rameau, Marin Marais, and Couperin among other French baroque music pieces.
