Musée Guimet

Founded in 1889, the Musée Guimet houses one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of Asian art and the most significant in Europe. Through temporary exhibitions and close scientific and technical partnerships with leading museums across Asia, the museum fosters dialogue and greater understanding between cultures, peoples and traditions, in keeping with the vision of its founder.

At the heart of the Musée Guimet’s cultural and artistic programme, the Auditorium is a 276-seat venue equipped with a 4K projection system. Throughout the year, it hosts film cycles, concerts, performances, literary events, lectures and academic conferences, offering a diverse programme for all audiences.

The Auditorium’s programme is conceived as a living, contemporary expression of Asian arts and cultures, in dialogue with the museum’s collections and exhibitions. It seeks to highlight the vitality and diversity of contemporary Asian cultures, broaden perspectives and invite audiences to discover rich and sometimes unfamiliar artistic worlds through a sensory and emotional experience.
