EGREM archives treasure a wide catalogue that contains one of the most important and far-reaching music patrimonies of Latin America. We have more than 70,000 matrixes of original
versions and re-editions of Cuban music of all genres, with the most popular interpreters of our history. Among them stand out the Matamoros Trio, María Teresa Vera, Bola de Nieve, Ernesto Lecuona, Benny Moré, Celeste Mendoza, the Aragón Orchestra,Celina González, Merceditas Valdés, Chucho Valdés and the Irakere Group, Leo Brouwer, Emiliano Salvador, Compay Segundo, César Portillo de la Luz, Omara Portuondo, Elena Burke, Eliades Ochoa, Rubén González, Ibrahim Ferrer, Frank Fernández, Buena Fe, Los Van Van,Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, José Luis Cortés and NG la Banda, Paulo FG, Charanga Habanera, just to mention some.
Its recording studios have welcomed top figures of universal music of all times like Nat “King” Cole, Josephine Baker, and recently, the already mentioned stars of Buena Vista Social Club.

Cuba, the Island of Music:

The Cuban band Los Van Van was honored for the organizer comite of WOMEX fair with the Artist Award 2013.
The laurel was given to the "Train of Cuban music" for have remained as the most important and popular dance band in Cuba for more than four decades.
The jury noted that "the imaginative approach in implementing its director Juan Formell, brought new sounds and ideas in Cuban dance music, which merged violins, flute charanga style with a trombone section, drums and electric guitar intro, bass and keyboards"


The great Cuban musician Juan Formell is also awarded with the Latin Grammy Award for Excellence 2013 along with other renowned Hispanic musicians , in a ceremony to be held on November 20, 2013 in Las Vegas .

The Septeto Santiaguero, group belonging to the Son de Cuba Agency of EGREM company, is one of the traditional Cuban musicians more important nowadays. The septet has been nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards 2013 for his album “Vamos pa’ la fiesta”.

The group chooses the laurel for Best Traditional Tropical Album and also is accompanied by the National Septet Ignacio Piñeiro, with the phonogram “La Habana Tiene Su Son”, and the diva Miriam Ramos, along with Barbarito Torres, Ernan Lopez- Nussa and Rolando Luna,
in the triptych “La Canción Cubana”, collection which won the Grand Prize at the Cuba Disco 2013.
Recorded with label Picap , “Vamos pa’ la fiesta”was also rewarded in the Cubadisco 2013 , in the section on traditional folk music , and was included in several specialized media lists as one of the best exponents of salsa and Latin jazz in the year 2012.
