Teresa Bergman – the Berlin-based singer from New Zealand, embodies a stylistic fusion of folk, funk and jazz. When Teresa starts to play it takes but a few seconds to realise – an outstanding singer and composer is at work – with great songs, a huge portion of soul and energy, a quirky and real personality and charisma to boot.
Teresa is becoming known across Europe for her extraordinary vocal range and versatility. This combined with the unique and funky ‘Bergman-guitar-groove’ and a mix of optimism and intimacy on stage enchants every audience. Germany’s largest cultural radio station recently described Bergman as “the biggest talent we have discovered at Soundscout in the past year” (Deutschland Radio Kultur).
Bergman is currently at work on her second studio album to be released with Jazzhaus Records Germany.
