WOMEX is partner of the EU funded project « ACP Music Festivals Network » leaded by Zone Franche.
Since 2 years the project helps professional structuration and networking in different regions of Africa, the Carribeans and the Pacific. One of the last step planned is an artistic focus on some acts proposed by our ACP partners.
The project helped setting up two new great musical encounters, presented for the first time and ready to tour.
- From One Island to Another (Haiti/Madagascar/La Réunion)
- Mars Melto and the Melanesian Allstars (Vanuatu/Papua New Guinea/Australia)
- Ferro Gaita (Cape Verde)
