Māsi Darham
A duet of baghlāmā and tombak with a contemporary expression, “Māsi Darham” is a musical journey, telling the bittersweet story of the composer’s childhood. Combining rhythms and thus creating new techniques of playing baghlāmā, Bābak Sharifimajd touches new musical grounds, which is at the same time rather primitive. He uses a variety of musical dialects in each piece, softly accompanying baghlāmā, maintaining its artistic originality.
