Currently, Fernanda is a full time singer, writer and songwriter. Vocalist of Pato Fu for 25 years, she is also working on a solo project through the last 8 years. Grammy Latino Winner, she has been awarded multiple times for her work by institutions such as the APCA (Art Critics ‘Association of São Paulo state), MTV Brazil, Multishow, Bravo! Magazine and Brazilian Music Award. As a writer, Fernanda published three books (by Panda Books and Cobogó Editora).
She has performed in several countries, both as a solo artist and with Pato Fu, including Japan, United Kingdom, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and the US. As a guest, she sang with widely known artists in Brazil, such as Rita Lee, Zélia Duncan, Roberto Menescal, Maki Nomiya, João Donato, Gilberto Gil, Erasmo Carlos, Duran Duran and Renato Russo. From movies, she has taken part to short, feature films and documentaries as a singer, songwriter and voice actor. Those works include partners as Disney, Otto Desenhos (when awarded with the Kikito prize from the Gramado Film Festival) and Jorge Furtado.
Among the highlights of her solo career is the album with guitarist Andy Summers (The Police) in 2012. Her latest release, the album “Na Medida do Impossível” (roughly translates as “As far as impossible”), has been awarded with the Brazilian Music Award in two categories: “Best Album” and “Best Visual Feature”, and with the Red Dot Design Award, the most important prize in the Visual Design industry.
