Orito Cantora and Jenn Del Tambó are Colombian musicians and founders of the first network of women percussionist in the Caribbean and bring at the root of their work a mix of Cumbia, Bullerengue, Chalupa and other traditional rhythms of the Caribbean region.
Orito is composed, singers, plays maracas with great skill and participates in several musical projects, among them the Red Tamboreras de Colombia, founded in early 2016 with percussionist Jenn Del Tambó.

The motivation to create the project came from the trajectory of Jenn, who in 2011 was the first woman to win the award for best performer of Tambor Alegre at the 28th International Bagpipe Festival held in Sucre, Colombia. The instrument that is also known as tambor hembra (female, in Spanish) is practically prohibited to women, who participate more commonly singing in choir or dancing, but almost never acting like percussionists in groups of traditional music. Since the age of ten Jenn had been attending hidden drum lessons, which were only allowed for men, and it was with the memory of the rhythms listened and training hidden in a rock that Jenn began her career as a percussionist.

In the last 15 years, they have participated in festivals in several countries such as the United States, Morocco, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Trinidad Tobago, among others, until they arrive in Brazil in 2016, invited to participate in the Zona Lamm artistic residency in the city of Belo Horizonte and also to a series of activities in São Paulo.

With the successful experience in 2016, the duo organized a new presentation format in which Jenn plays the Tambora, Llamador and Alegre drums, cymbals and chime, Orito sings and complements the musicality with beautiful maracas solos. The new project bears the name of Orito y Jenn - Tambores ConFlor. At the end of the second Brazilian tour this year the artists return to Colombia for the recording of the first disc of the new project, with launch scheduled for 2018.
