Octandre - Different Lands

Independent music label founded by Fabio Armani and Giacomo De Caterini in 1999 with the goal to go beyond the frontiers of jazz, electronic, ethnic and contemporary music towards the wider concept of world fusion.



Different Lands is your journey across the unknown and uncharted landscape, to discover another side of the Earth.



The name different lands has many different meanings:



land is the soil and this draws towards primitive, material substance. The usage of a different and new alchemical element.



land is the clay, as different clays can be used to produce sculpture and colors.



different lands means also unknown places waiting to be reach after a long journey, or different worlds, in space and time.

In all of our productions, great importance has been devoted to sound quality, through constant innovation and continuous experimentation.

Also, our love for acoustic recording drives our research for the perfect space, i.e. that kind of acoustical environment capable of inspiring and stimulating any player, and this direction will show even more clearly in the upcoming surround (5.1) productions.
