A dream comes true, when some of Africa's strongest representatives share the stage to recount tales going more than 70 generations back -- to the contemporary urban vivid music scene, that has always influenced and inspired the world of music.
From Griots to Social Workers, Eco Agitators, Revolutionaries, to Peace Fighters and Instrumental Equilibrists, the African experience artists will, with irresistible charm, make the scenes ouse with high voltage energy, that will make you lose control in a heated feast.
The show's performers are often compared with Jimmi Hendrix, Charlie Parker and Fela Kuti by the critics.
These "African All Stars" have many things in common: expressivity, virtuosity, personality and the capability to capture the worlds large live audiences.
African rhythms was born with the first human heart beat.
From East to West, from beach to mountain, and desert to jungle, from the village to the city, the artists will tell a mix of ancient myths, historical events, political comments and contemporary urban stories. Meaningful texts will be sung in languages like Dholuo, Luganda, Swahilli, English, French, Peu, Malinke, Susu and Bassa.
The musicians use a mix of typical Western instruments, and old African instruments like Kora, Kamela N´Goni, Calabash, Tamani, Nyatiti, Djembe, Kalimba, Kayamba, Orutu, Bunde and Ohangla drums.
You will hear Mandingo tunes mixed with Salsa, Rumba, Funk, Jazz, rhythm n’ blues and even scat. Benga mixed with Afro Beat, Nyatiti and Ohangla. Cameroonian Soul with traces of Bossa. African Jazz and Senegalese Blues. You will see traditional dance elements along with the ones of Hip Hop or Youruba.
With a line up coming from Cameroon, Congo, Kenya, Guinea, Martinique, Cote D´Ivoir and Senegal, the concerts are performed by some of the biggest African superstars and popular musicians:
Ba Cissoko, Blick Bassy, Herve Samb, Makadem, Sekou Kouyate, Swaéli Mbappé, Thomas Guei, Tiss Rodrigues, John Mutombo, Shaddrack Makau, Chao Otieno and Mathew Matix.
