Known for their innovative use of audio and video sampling, award winning artists collective Addictive TV have won international acclaim for their project ‘Orchestra of Samples’. It was described as “impressive” by Songlines, “ingenious and compelling” by The Times and “a glimpse into the very essence of music” by Cultured Vultures.

Ten years in the making and blending elements of folk, world and electronic, it’s a musical journey without borders where the artists filmed improvised recording sessions with over 300 musicians around the world, from South America, Asia and the Middle-East, to North and West Africa and across Europe, then sampled them all to create new music.

“Orchestra of Samples” has been performed internationally at festivals including WOMAD, Celtic Connections and Pirineos Sur, as well as prestigious venues such as Erarta Museum in St Petersburg, Musée du Quai Branly in Paris and CenArt in Mexico City. Local guest musicians often perform on the project too, making every performance unique.
