Mvura Ichanaya is the self released debut album of Otto Gumaelius, recorded with his band The Mutapa Calling, and released in July 2018. It is a collection of southern Africa folk songs alongside some of Otto's own songs. The album includes southern African languages such as Shona, Tswana, Ndebele and Sotho. The album was recorded using soprano, tenor and baritone marimbas, mbira, drumkit, congas, djembe, hosho, and vocals.
