Outer Space returns from their intergalactic tours to present their second album, “Into The Unknown” (251 Productions, 2018). The 7 musicians from Barcelona keep on hitting the stages to share new emotions. Ten new compositions full of Groove, Soul, Afro-American rhythms, Ethiopian melodies and hypnotic harmonies. His music drinks from the influence of the Ethio Jazz, founded in the 60s for Mulatu Astatke. The characteristic melodies of the Ethiopian tradition transport us to the most Eastern Africa.
In 2015 they recorded their first album “Chase Across Orion” by Tucxone Records. The record label, based in Madrid, bets on black music made with respect for its origins. From the first moment they fell in love with Outer Space and decided not only to include the band to their record label, but they provided the project with an analog studio where the disc was recorded.
The Outer Space directs are an unpredictable adventure. The audience enters into the trip proposed by the musicians, sharing with them their cosmic mantra. As if it were a soundtrack, the listener is immersed in astronomical catharsis. An experimental journey that they themselves define as Instrumental Afrosoul. Let yourself be seduced by the mystery of the unknown. As Joseph Conrad said, “… it seems to lead directly to the heart of the immense darkness.”
