Fred Guichen revealed himself as an accordionist and composer at the age of 14 in the group Ar Re Yaouank which he founded with his brother in 1986. It was the electroshock of Breton music in the 1990s: with energy and a new dynamic, this group literally revolutionized the fest-noz scene, remaining a reference group in Brittany despite its dissolution in 1998.
Following this unique phenomenon, Fred continued the adventure through new encounters, travelling to different venues in Europe and around the world: Karachi Lahore Islamabad in Pakistan, Jakarta, Singapore, Phnom Phen and Angkor in Cambodia, Moncton in Canada, Taipei in Taiwan, Tahiti in Polynesia, Tokyo in Japan, Norfolk UK, New York... He also devoted this period to more solo projects.
